I'm sure these issues have been covered but i'm lost on this one.
I have an 08 Nytro RTX with 1200 miles on it. I pulled it out of storage and the track started to ratchet the first time i drove it. I tightened it, and it still had the problem. I tightened a little more and now it went away. It never did this last year. Could this have just streched that much over summer? My track seems a little too tight now, but i've been told these tracks have to run a little tighter than others due to the torque. I took it out and there is no more ratcheting. Last weekend i was riding across a lake with a passenger, and my sled started to smell burnt. People a mile behind me could smell it. My V belt seems fine. I stopped for 2 minutes and the sled wouldnt move. The track itself froze tight to the highfax. I understand there was NO snow on the lake at all, but nobody elses sled had the problem. I had the only yamaha out there. Do you think the track is too tight? I'm not sure what to do because I think it will start ratcheting if i loosen the track up. Or maybe just leave it alone and only drive in snow?!? Thanks ahead for any help! Also, I was looking at my v belt today and i noticed that the secondary clutch wiggles. In and out. Pry about 1/8 inch. It seems to drive fine, but I thought these were not supposed to move in and out at all. The whole thing moves. I'm not 100% sure how its supposed to drive because I bought it used and haven't driven another nytro. Is this normal?

clutch
The secondary clutch movement side-to-side is normal. Due to the low snow conditions, you melted the hi-fax to the track. You need snow to lube up the sliders. Your track was probably loose due to the fact that it was stretched out...normal. Do a search on here and you will see what I mean.

Re: clutch
This pretty much covers it.
These short track nytros ratchet easily if the track isn't rather tight. And the poor hyfax life is a common problem, riding in low snow conditions or NO snow makes it a lot worse, having a passenger will also make it worse.
Those are your answers. Now if you want to fix these problems, add extrovert drivers so you don't have to run your track so tight. You'll need a fully clipped track, or cut open your closed windows on your stock track. Having a fully clipped track will help with the hyfax problem a little bit, but probably only a little. If you want longer hyfax life, you'll need to install bigger bogie wheels, and probably additional wheels.

The wheels in this thread are the only direct bolt in replacements on the market.

Exactly what everyone is saying. One more thing to add is if you run into "no snow" conditions often, get a set of ice scratchers. However, to answer your question, your sled is normal. With a couple "changes", you'll be good to go.

Thank you for the help. Good to know! Those wheels look perfect. So they're suggesting to replace the existing wheels, and add a couple more? Is there a mount for these things?

Thats what I would do. Its gonna cost you some money to do it right now, but in the long run its gonna be worth it.
If you buy one of the kits, 6 wheel kit of the rtx or standard nytro, and 8 wheel kit for the xtx...it comes with new wheels and Mounts+hardware for the additional wheels.
Excell Motorsports has really made it easy for everyone to fix the hyfax problem.
