When are you guys changing your plugs on your apexes.I' ve got 1600 miles on my sled and just pulled the easiest one(clutch side) and it looks like new,not even much carbon buildup. I have used cr10ek's in my rx1's but have fouled more than a few so I thought I would stick with stock.I couldn't imagine changing the plugs on this thing on a 30 below morning in Canada. It would probably take half the day.

Put the cr10ek's in!!!!!! They work!

The stock plug is a NGK CR9EB. The NGK CR10EK plugs are a nice additional 2-3 hp gain.

855 miles of trail riding on with the NGK CR10EK plugs and no problems.

May I disagree! I ran them in my RX-1 and found out that there is way less throttle response because of the plug heatrange (too cold) I beleive it those plugs for better smoothness on engine feel but with an equivalent heatrange. They might show a hp increase in a dyno room because of the higher room temp. but not necessarely in the field!
Opened for comments!

dyama, you can disagree. I will tell you though that you are wrong about the response. They are better in the field. Put the cr10ek's in and run the machine. Then put the stock plugs in. I will guarentee that you will stop and put the cr10ek back in! They are noticable even in the seat of the pants! They work in stock trail sleds and turbo race machines. There are no drawbacks to them whatsoever. Mike Knapp#17

Thanks Mike.... In go the cr10ek plugs tomorrow. With the efi in these apexes I am sure there won't be as much fouling.Probably fouled the rx1's from too much choke when starting them on the cold mornings.

I have an 04 Rx. Never fowled the stock plugs. Got 5500 miles on them. Sled still kicks butt on the trail. You can ask the cat & doo drivers I passed this weekend in UP. Maybe I'll re-gap 'em next year.

I just got my RTX yesterday and I changed the plugs...i put the B's in, didn't take that long, maybe an hour, start to finish. then i rode it around the yard....and it ripped!

however, i changed the plugs because they were fouled? and the sled wouldn't start......so i changed the plugs, and it started right up instantly......i remember this happening to my RX1 when i first got it.
????

i wonder how the RTX's fouled????? with 940 miles.
