Boys where playing on Oxtounge Saturday.. 2 ,07,1000 twin Cats, 1 squeeked , Had altered exhaust, Y Pipe, best radar before it broke 109mph, other stock 106mph,07 Long track Mach Adrenlain paddle track 110mph,no pics.(bone stock) new machz 0 miles off trailer up and down shore for 22 miles first run 115.5 second run 117.3 bone stock,(144pic's)The only Yamaha's there where juiced and had some bugs to iron out.

speedo speeds or GPS or radar ??

the best i have had my APEX do is 176kph... 109mph by my GPS

but that was before the cold.. but me thinks thats all she has got.

I talked to BlueByyou2000 and he said he beat a bone stock F1000 with studs on the ice last week and he said he beat it pretty bad with his RTX.... I think in stock forum, they are nothing to write home about... My buddies got one and I can't wait to race him with my Apex GT. The way I look at is this.... I've got nothing to lose since I'm down about 13-16hp from it in stock form.... So If I win, he will never here the end of it, especially he sold his F7 and I beat that bad last year at the end of the year. It will be a great day......

youre apex should go faster than 109,more like 113-114.i had my stock warrior with 108 studs run 113 mph,my buds stock rx1 runs 118,thats on ice

Ill be up to cottage for this weekend...DANO,call me...Fred and I want to head to oxtongue for sunday we think......I gotta spend saturday working on his rear heat exhanger and a few other things....But we should be out there sunday I hope...

Im still trying to figure out how some of you get such high top speed numbers out of your sleds.. (must all be on paper thin snow or glare ice)

highest speeds ive ever seen on my sled was 114 on bare pavement with a dusting of snow, and 109 on the dreammeter on a actual trail..

Figuring the 10% the speedos are off.. i was running around 100mph..

I held my old Rx-warrior with the ecp kit anc clutching WFO for over 5 miles once in Paradise Mi. and the highest speed i ever saw was 119 on the dreammeter.. my apex hasnt ever seen that..

Doesnt really make sense because all of my sleds ran incredible to 100, than almost stop accerating completely..

Id love to be able to race a comparible apex on the same conditions to see how my sled compares.. Maybe its conditions more than anything..
 
The fastest my '06 Gt said on the Turtle Flowage in Mercer ls season was 121 on the "dreammeter". I hit that once, and then was only able to squeak of 2 runs of 116 & 115. We didn't have a radar, we were just out screwing around and nobody wanted to run with me that fast anyway. I was the only Yammi riding with an F7, 2 REV's and a Slolaris.
I have to admit, though, I don't think I care to go that fast very often. I don't have a death wish- and I'd rather make my sled an animal in the twisty stuff. I love runing the trails as hard as I can (within reason- I'm not 18 anymore) and trying to pass my buddy on his REV, and keep him from passing me. I know, I know, he should never be in front of me anyway, but hey, any sled can go fast, it's all about the rider! I love to swap sleds with my buddies because now they all have buyers remorse!!
 
I cant figure out why there is so much differance between these machines,if all the shorties in 06 being apexs ran between 110 and 118 gps mph i could better understand,but you guys are saying you cant even run past the 120 mph on ice on the dreameter,now thats only about 105 radar mph,hell my old 03 rx1 ran 115-117 gps radar on ice/snow,and last year when mine was an attak bone stock unstudded very first pass it went 109 gps and always ran 112-114 gps on snow/ice anytime after some miles,with either stock clutching or my supertip set up,but when i changed out the skid to the 121 and kept the 23 top attak gear,it excellerated much quicker on snow,but did seam to loose some top speed on glare ice,so i am back to 24 stock top gear,and working on some clutching as soon as we get some ice. Looking to break into the 120's gps speed. And i cant help you with dreameter speeds as i have both top and bottom cut out of my pick up gear,and that gets the speed dead on.
