I really like the look of a polished tunnel. I polished my RX-1 to a mirrior-like finish but I am finding it is hard to keep that brilliant finish. I took everything off the rear of the sled, from the steering gate back and polished the footboards, side and top to a nice finish. I used the sled all of last week and I find that the finish dulled down quite a bit so everything is back off the sled for a complete polishing again. Anyone able to keep the brilliant finisf without having to do a lot of repolishing? I have been using a metal polish with a rotary polisher followed by regular automotive wax. Thanks!!

Hey Jim,

I have been using a product called Xtreem that has worked out awesome for me over the years. Now that I have my own website I am going to become a distributor for this stuff. After a hard ride, all I do is wash the sled and rub this stuff on and buff it off with a cloth wheel at about 800 RPMS and it goes right back to a mirror finish again and absolutely no cloudy marks or scratchy marks. Look for this stuff next week on my website www.cubbyscustoms.com ................Cubby

Metal Polish

So how much are you charging per jar. I have been using Mothers with good results, but will try anything once.
