Poor headlight solution

I have nearly the same set up, 6” light bar, switch wired directly to the battery. This changed night Riding for me... there is no comparison between this and stock. I get lots of compliments on the Light bar. One other bonus is that you can switch it on while the sleds not running and light up a shack, or whatever else! It hardly draws any power

Ya I'm looking forward to trying it out. I see your from Manitoba also so you know the snow conditions around here. I'm not taking the sled out until we get some more snow. Road to South Beach for supper a few weeks ago and it was less than ideal. More bull rushes than snow in parts!

Looks sweet, ssrider, where did you get those switches. Like the blue LED on them and mounting location is perfect for an accessory. I went with the www.rocztoyz.com plug and play HID setup as step 1 for better lighting, no power or ground connection, just plug HID harness plug into existing bulb connector. Super bright, doing final loom of wires next few days, will post pics. Considering adding the LED lights to the PowerMADD hand guards next.

Thanks. I got the switches on amazon. Got a 15 pack for $12. 5 red, 5 green, and 5 blue. Ya i decided to mount the switch in that location because if I ever want to remove it, all I have to do is buy that rubber plug from yamaha. I have thought about getting the HID kit as well. I'll see how this works first. I'm in to it for less than $30 so it was worth a shot.

Any advice when it comes to aiming the HID headlight kit, I have it installed and they are super bright but I can't aim them worth anything. I can only run low beams right now and when I hit the hit beams, I blind passing aircraft. I can't seem to make any progress with the aim, i need help because I love riding at night.

I pointed the low beams down real low as the high beams are on most of the time unless there's oncoming traffic

I was just checking the adjustment mechanism on mine, seems like there is one screw above the headlight to adjust. Likely as pointed out adjust for high beam use as primary and then low beam will be lower but with HID lumens, will still be better than stock! Rebuild coming to an end, hood on tonight : )

Finally got to the install tonight. Waiting for snow here in central Maine to go try it out.

Nice clean installation, looks good. I bet you will have great terrain visibility / depth perception with the new light mounted done low. I do a maiden voyage with my Nytro / HIDs Friday in the Alligash, McNally camps. If you are near the trains let me know. 8-12" Wednesday.

Wife and I were up in the Allagash just before Christmas and the amount of snow up there then was impressive. Unfortunately, my social director (aka wife) scheduled me to be ice fishing this Saturday but hope for a chance to get out on a day trip Sunday.

Good news! Yeah, very impressed with the ruggedness of this light.
