I have a 2007 Alex attak. I have a chance I buying a Ram air hauk exhaust and a power commander3 with the ignition module . A PC5 just isnt in the budget and I can buy those 3 things for 500.00cnd.
I have never used a power commander so I'm looking for some advice on it and what to do for mapping or a tune. Can anyone give me some insight on what I'm gunna be looking at?

Your going to need a laptop with the PC3 software and a USB cable to plug into the PC3 module. Once you have the 2 modules installed, only then will the software recognize the ignition box. From there your going to need a map, which you can purchase from Hauck or others. Or create your own.

Is there a way to tell if there is a map already installed in the pc3? I'm buying it used with the exhaust and air box all off the same sled

Yes, when you bring up the map table, if there is already a map installed the table will have some number values. If no map is installed there will be all zero's.

If it's like the PCV software there may be some notes on the map that may indicate what add ons the map might be based on such as headers, intake, etc.

If your putting on a PC3 or PC5 in, you must install a 02 Sensor, otherwise you are tuning blind and there is no point to it. Could be running super rich or lean, 12.6 to 13.0 is the sweet spot. anything leaner then 13.0 on long speed runs could melt down.

That's a good price for all those items. Since they appear to come from one person they must have been run as a package. Ask the seller if the PC3 and ignition module has been loaded to run the airbox mod and exhaust. If you can't confirm this contact Ulmer or Hurricane and ask them if they can provide maps for PC3s so you don't end up with a white elephant...PC3s have not been sold for some time now.

Picked it all up tonight and the guy said the pc3 is all set up for the air box and exhaust as it all came off the exact same sled as mine. He removed it all when the sled hit a tree and he said nothing was changed on the pc3 so it is just plug and play.

Any idea on where I can get the PC3 software for my laptop?
