Has anyone used the pre-filters yet? Is there any difference in actual use performance with or without? What is the best way to put the holes in them? When using the hoses in front of air cleaners, would cutting them or melting them be the best way? Hope somebody can help me out. Thanks. Enticer

take a 3/4 socket or something like that and razor blade around it
when the grommett is installed use a litte contact cement to hold the edge of the prefilter under the edge of the grommett

Do not go near this material with a open flame. Dameage will occur.

You can cut as previous post or punch with a piece of 3/4" copper pipe that has had a chamfer cut on edge. I had a actual 3/4" core drill I had made for rubber gasket drilling. Worked great using ply wood as backing to drill into.

The 90 deg insert adapter used(see Cubby's post) has a flange that then seals over the prefilter when the hose assembly is plugged in.

Don't forget that you will not require prefilters at all times so don't do anything permanent.
