I dont want to wear a backpack this winter on trips to the UP so i was thinking about getting this trunk bag. Does anyone have one? If so do you like it and could you possibly upload a picture of it. I also have the yamaha fuel caddies. Would the two interfere with eachother are would they both fit?

I am after going through 2 of those!
They fit a lot of gear, I use them daily, but the side pockets wear through easy because of the soft material.

I thought about getting some plastic containers to put in the sides but haven't been able to find anything. I use a backpack now, once you get use to it you will find it strange if you ride without it!

Anyway here are a few pictures of it mounted,

Thanks for the picures. It looks like it takes up a lot of the seat. Did it feel cramped with it on? And did Yamaha cover the second one or did you have to buy another one?

It looks cramped but it's perfect! When I sit I can't sit any further back anyway, with the rider forward stance.
I bought #2! Could have went after the dealer to replace it but I never bothered, I used it a lot! If it happened after the first use then maybe?

Ok thanks for the info. I was skeptical but I think I'm going to get one now.

I had to get the dealer to replace mine after one season. Mine fell apart at the seams, had to tape them to finish one of my trips. Got it replaced, no questions asked. Followed the mounting instructions. No issues being cramped. They do hold a lot of stuff, but I was kind of disappointed that the seams split so easy.

As far as the fuel caddies go, depending on where you mounted them they may rub on the front of the bags. If this is the case, it wont take long to rub them through.

I mounted them where the directions said to mount them and after looking at the pictures radianguy posted it looks like they will rub so I might have to find something to put in between them.

Looks like you have the tank bag too. Do you prefer one over the other?

I have the tank bag currently, and while I am happy to have some storage, a bit more would be nice.

I can't really say if I like one over the other?? I use both regularly, I do wish I would have went with the bigger tank bag ( looks like the rear luggage)

I have used that bag for 3 seasons now and it works great (actually have 3 of them at the cottage along with one of the smaller ones) the only thing I had to do was come up with something for the rear straps..... I didn't like the little plastic pc that came with the kit and the straps too short to get to the bumper on my xtx)

I have the Yamaha trunk bag that the sides pockets come off. so when I'm just doing day rides I only use the middle bag as a trunk bag then when we do a trip i use all it all. I'm 5'11 225 and it does not hinder the way i sit on the seat at all. Overall the bag seems to work great and mine has held up well had it for 3 seasons now.

How many beers can you fit in it? lol :drink:
