I own a 2006 Venture and a Vector; thinking of selling both machines so I can upgrade. Trying to figure out a reasonable price to ask. They both have a little over 3000 miles logged, are in as near showroom condition as they can be, were never raced or crashed, not a scratch or ding anywhere. Oil, filters, chain case lube changed yearly and chasis greased twice a season. I have maintenance logs for each machine with dates and mileage .
Both had new cam chain tensioners replaced ($500 ea) with upgrades just to avoid future problems; exhaust donuts were also replaced. I installed a rear heat exchanger ($200) on the Vector several years ago. Replaced all idler wheels on the Vector last year; slides are in good condition. Both machines were used on Old Forge trails and tug hill on groomed trails only. If anyone can give me a range of prices It would be appreciated. I've looked for used machines like these on the market to get some idea's but can't find much of anything.

Thanks

Go to the Kelly Blue Book on google. This will give you a good guess as to their values.

Shows they are around the $4000 each,I think that if you look after a sled and its clean you should ask more$

X2, I never go by book value as I normally find the prices too low.

I usually search classifieds like Kijiji or Craigslist and do a comparison on milage, condition, accessories etc.

KBB is low on sleds compared to NADA.com . Once to NADA, check under the heading "motorcycles" to find the listing for snowmobiles. Good luck on your sale.

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks to those who offered suggestions about this. I talked to the dealer who knows the machines and he said they are worth more than bluebook based on their condition, how they were used and upgrades I've put in to them. But the bluebook gives a good starting point at any rate, and as suggested I'm looking in craigs list, etc.

Thanks again!

Wait till the season starts and ask $5750 for the Vector and don't take a penny less than $5500....IMO

These used sleds are in high demand due to the fact that they will run 10's of thousands of miles.....plus the cost of a new sled is too high for many people nowadays.

Thanks forstrokeluvr111-

been doings lots of looking and seems as though you are right on the money, especially considering the conditon, these machine are barely broken in and couldn't be better maintained. My dealer commented that he never saw cleaner machines when I brought them in last year.
