Proaction damping adjustment

I recently purchased a new, leftover 2005 Rage with the proaction rear suspension. Unfortunately, my dealer supplied me with an '06 owners manual that has different suspension. I'd like to adjust the rebound damping in the rear shock before I get my new owners manual. There's a screw on the bottom of the shock body and I'd like to know if that is the damping adjustment. If so, which way do I turn it to obtain greater rebound damping and does this adjustment also effect compression damping? Thanks folks.

Turning the adjuster all the way in, is full damping. Then you can go out 16 clicks. It will go farther then that, but it will have no effect. Not sure, but suspect it dampens both directions.

Usually just compression....not rebound.

Thanks for the info folks, but I must be missing something. According to what I've found, the adjustment screw on the rear shock will adjust REBOUND damping, and that's exactly what I need to do. However, when turning the screw in (clockwise), I was able to turn the screw about 1 plus turns until it stopped. According to the info I have, that should be 7 clicks, but I can't hear or feel a click. The suspension is full of snow and I had to use a hair dryer to get to the screw, but I'm not sensing any clicking. I backed it off about 1/2 turn and will ride the sled tomorrow to see if it helped. A small turn of the screw must make a big adjustment?

Me bad. 05 Rage-4 clicks in 1 round. Just came in from checking. I have mine set at 12 clicks. Not a hard rider at all.
