MUSKOKA APEX RTX 07 said:Grimm have you complained to Yamaha ??? cause as far as Scott Harrison head of warranty claims know there has been no problems with wheels ???? is this another BS line from him ????
Tom
My warranty was up by the time I looked at my wheels, therefore I realized that there was no point in calling up Yamaha.
I knew this was a weak point in Yammy's sleds before I even bought my Vector, so I was prepared to change them out once the bearings went.
Maybe you can convince your Dealer in giving you a set of older style RX1 wheels one final time and do the mods to the supports and install them yourself.

SOME ONE TELL ME WHY THE APEX REAR WHEELS WITH THE ONE PIECE BEARINGS ARE $90.00 AND THE SRX STYLE WHEELS WITH REPLACEABLE BEARINGS ARE $23.00? I REPLACED ALL MY IDLERS WITH SRX SPEC WHEELS WITH THE 6205 BEARING, AND PUT INA 4TH REAR WHEEL KIT WITH THE SRX SPEC WHEELS, NO PROBLEMS AFTER 2000 MILES. THE STOCK APEX WHEELS ARE JUNK. YES THEY ARE LIGHTER IN WEIGHT, BUT THEIR FAILURE RATE IS HORRIBLE.
