I cannot find a set up and get rid of harsh riding on small medium bumps. It does not bottom on big bumps but suspemsion is too firm on small ones.

I read the thread from ReX on shock valving problems.

Anybody is able to get a smooth ride with their Apex XTX?

rear springs are at soft settings. Yesterday, I tried softening the central shock spring by loosening the spring by 1/4 inch. I tried also turning left the clicker to max. In my garage, when paying with the clicker, i do not really see and understand the results.

Thanks

Must be something not right there some where.

My XTX rides real nice. I weigh about 185 geared up. I have mine set to soft with the rear clicker about 3 clicks from full soft. I have bottomed it out a couple times on hard jumps as it should. Have not touched the center shock at all.

You may want to take the main shock out and see if it will compress all the way. (Or have your dealer do it) I've had shocks loose thier charge before and it makes them really stiff and/or only compress half way.

Alright, soften the front rear spring until it starts to become loose, then adjust 2 turns tighter.... With the rear coil springs on min, turn the shock adjust to full min (check manuel) try that....

Springs control your weight set in and your harsh stutter ride quality is due to your shock valving. You can choose to loosen up your springs to somewhat mask your issue but then you are more likely to run into other handling problems such as increased darting.

Loosening the central shock coils spring did not help. too firm valving colud be the problem.

Thanks

yep, i agree... you want it cushy soft, you need to change the valving... As other have said though I am surprised, since I heard the 2011 was like a big marsh mellow...

I set it back as it was from factory, except for the remote reservoir clicker ser to max soft. did 50 miles. Fact is it is a firm suspension never bottoming and not using its travel. What helps are the very smooth front suspension setings. Engine and ergos are better than previous years. but for the rest....i ll try to find somebody that will be able to improve the suspension.

I did not shorten the limiter strap to improve cornering because I'm focusing on the good rear set up for comfort first.
