Anyone buy the Coldwave Modular Trunk bag for their Attak or other sled?
I grabbed one before my backpack trip in Quebec, about 80 miles into the trip the bag came apart and melted to my exhaust. The clips had come undone at least three times that morning, Coldwave needs to change their mounting system.
I purchased the bag and the mounting system for my sled, I lost a Spyder fleece jacket, mittens, leather gloves and two brand new thermoses filed with Sambuca and Ketel One. It was so hot it melted a couple of cans of Red Bull and really heated up my spare dry gas. The bag was totally destroyed and I am concerned that they will not warranty it because I do not have the proof, I had to throw it in the garbage at a gas station in La Tuque. The worst part is that I lost everything that was in the bag, completely melted, I wonder if I had flames following my sled.
I learned that another guy staying at the same hotel as me had the exact same problem this past weekend. His lasted a whopping 23 miles into his trip.
