prologger install questions on the yamaha phazer

I'm having an issue with installing the prologger gauge on my yamaha phazer. Where/whats the best place to tap into for the tech signal its the purple wire on the prologger gauge.

You need a tach adapter that provides a voltage signal, can't just splice in to anything with that purple wire.
The tach adapter will tie into the comon power lead to one of the coils, the purple wire from the prologger then gets a signal from the adapters output wire. We got an MSD adapter box with our ProLoggers...
