Is there actually a pull start on the Apex. For soe reason when i was looking at it i didnt see one? Look like there could be one on the right hand side?

If there isnt how do you guys get your seld started with a dead battery. The packs are really to small to be carrying jump cables or jump pack.

my buds got a cool simple set of jumpers which he keeps in front compartment under hood...usually someone always has a battery/elec sled to jump off...but its like anything else, when your battery gets low, which wont be for a few seasons if looked after, get a new one asap and no worries...these things start instantly ,even in cold.

I doubt cranking this 4 banger 4 stroker with a rope would be very easy anyway..lol

Definitely NOT easy at all ! My battery on my Kodiak 400 ATV went dead once. I was really suprised when I tried to start it, and that was just a single cyl 400 cc ATV !

My brother actually used the Apex to boost his truck after a weekend at the race track lol.

LT - its alot easier to boost then your GPR :).

hahaha yeah might be something worth replacing every year or every other just in case!!!

Best thing to do is to invest in a battery charger like the Optimate (around $70). Pull your battery after the season and either leave it hooked up to the Optimate, or charge it a couple of times over the summer. The batteries have not been much of an issue previously as they seem to have a pretty good life span.

I always carry a 1" strap in my tool box, had to use it once last year on my RX-1 when I had a short in the battery. 1 pull and it started right up just wrap it around the primary the correct way , no harder than a 2smoke.

Oh yeah,we also got the battery tenders for summer hookup,i use it for boat battery all winter then sled battery all summer....it monitors battery levels and trickles it when needed auto...no need to remove from sled, this is why the cables come off to side of sled...accessible for tender ....nice and simple.

Welcome to the 21st century of snowmobiling,
Wonder what ever happened to the crank handle on the front of your car?
The kick start on your motorcycle?
If we can adopt, (and we have,) to four stroke technology for snowmobiles, I welcome battery cables and jump starts!
I wonder if I can call AAA for a jump start?
