Putting an Apex seat on a RX-1

I know the gas tank shroud has to be trimmed about 3/4 of an inch I believe. Can I use the LED brake light or do I have to use the same light as on my 04 right now and the plastic pieces too can they be used? Another question is I would like to change the silver to blue and someone said to paint it. Can that be done and what product does one use for that.

Seats with LED tail light have a different type of connector than the RX-1. The 2006 Nytro seat have the same connector as the RX-1 and fits just nice on the RX-1. Take your time trimming the shroud, better cutting too little the first cut than too much

Ok ended up buying two seats with the triangular led light connectors. What is the best way to get this hooked up to an RX-1 with the rectangular type connector?

cut it off, and use spade connectors. Thats how my led light is now on my rx-1 seat. Maxdlx

I want to wire the original 04 brake light to the new wiring on the apex seat.

So you are not using the triangle led. If I can find the end I cut off, I'll send it to you. Maxdlx

I would rather cut and change the connector on the seat instead of the sled. How much for the led brake light and plastic.

The led light already has the plug cut off, but I can throw it in along, and the plastic has been trimmed for rx-1 exhaust covers, and has no wire mesh in it. I'd take $50 plus shipping for all of it. Maxdlx

No thanks I was going to use it to help save the splicing by just plugging it in. If I have to splice I will just use the original.
