Hey guys
did not know where to post this so i am trying here first.
I know some of you are familiar with this stuff and this is the only forum i go to.
I am doing a top end on my friends 2003 rev 800 and found a wire that appears to be disconnected.
On the wiring harness mounted on the left side of the sled frame just above the motor and below the handlebars. There is a group of aproximately 9 red and black wires that connect into a wiring disconnect block and then go to a relay. Just before the wiring disconnect there is a single black wire with a male connector sticking out of the harness. About 6 inches in front or it is a single black wire with a female connector on it.
Does anyone know what these wires are for and do you know if they should be connected or not. his sled was running fine with them disconnected but the more i look at this the more curious i get.
sled is apart right now so i cant test them for power or anything like that.
any help is appreciated

I believe the 1 wire is so you can change the speedo/odo to read miles or KM. I can't comment on the others. YOu would have better luck asking this on DOO-Talk.

This could also be for plugging in accessories like a 12V outlet or heated shield. Like Sledfreak suggested, I am sure you will find an answer on dootalk.com G.B.
