when replacing the jackshaft bearing to you have to do anything to the gear case side. just had mine blow at 7,000 km no leaks on the gearcase side. Is it ok to just change the bearing.

If you lost the PTO side, but caught it before it started flopping around, you may be able to get away with just replacing the PTO side. But, if the jackshaft was moving around, then I would also replace the Mag Side Bearing.
