Sorry for the two stroke question in the 4 stroke forum but you guys forum get looked at the most. We were changing my bros shocks for him because the front one snapped off and we put a viper shock in the front rear suspension and a SXR shock in the back rear of the suspension. We seem to be having a hell of a time getting his suspension back into his sled. Is there any adjustments i should make for the longer travel or does anyone have any ideas of what would make it easier to put it back in. We took the bottom transfer rod bolt out and that made it easier to but the middle bolts in but getting the very back bolt and the bolts that go back into the transfer rods seem to be a pain in my a$$. Thanks for the use of your forum. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Id suppose it will work its the same Pro Action suspension so id figure, Ive never heard of a viper front shock on a SRX ive heard of a Viper rear in it but I dont really know.

I think anything you really do to an SRX suspension a M10 or a long travel kit will make the sled very weird controlling wise. The SRX is ment for fast lake racen not big huge suspension, I would suggest SRX shocks or Ohlins shocks.

There is alot of info at the ty.com forums on long traveling srx's.

When you long travel the SX or SRX, besides just the shocks, you need longer limiter straps and the spacer washers on the transfer rods should also be changed. I have a set of new straps if you are interested, and should also have the instruction sheet which might list the spacer size.

Speaking of SRX and SX etc. Would the Viper have the same performance as the SRX if it got the triple pipe on it? I've heard that the Vipers with the pipes were quick but didn't know how it stacked up to the SRX.

Viper

A Viper with triple pipes puts out about 150 hp, but at the cost of reliability. Piped vipers are not near as reliable as a stock piped SRX. Many people say it's better, cheaper, and easier to improve the suspension on an SRX rather than build power out of a Viper.

If there both tuned to perfection there dam close I say the srx has the edge in a 1000ft.I have done alot of lake racing. The thing is with the vipoers if your going to be racing all the time you have to have the jetting tuned to perfection day to day.The jetting seems to be more forgiving on hp with stock srx pipes versus viper aftermarket pipes.

By the way I nstalled viper shocks in my 01 srx it's a tight fit but you can get it,look on the tech forum for some tips.I would also install a rear longtravel shock too not just the center.
