Question on the new Apex/Attack/Nytro

I really like the looks of these new sleds and am very excited. I'm a little bit disappointed about a couple of things though. First off, why no Yamaha Blue for the Apex? I really love that color so that pretty much limits me from getting an Apex this year. Also, why is the Attack so much heaver than the Apex? They have the Apex listed at 539 lbs dry and the Attack at 575! I may just go with a Nytro even though it doesn't have fuel injection. Do you guys know if the suspension on the Nytro will handle the rough stuff as well as the MonoShock? One last question, will the ECP kits work with the fuel injected sleds? I'm guessing probably not, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Other than those few questions I love what Yamaha has done and the direction they are moving. Chances are very good that I'll be riding a Yamaha next year!!

Well I guess in answer to my one question you can get the Apex ER in Blue, just not the Apex RTX, so it looks like all you'd really have to do is get an Apex ER and put Fox Float shocks on it and you'd have the same thing. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Looks to me like the Apex RTX is along the same lines as the Viper S. Similar color scheme, similar features (ie, no reverse, premium shocks)

That's how it looks to me. By all the information I can find the only difference between the ER and the RTX is the front shocks and the windshield. The rear shock is the same, and you it sounds like you can get the RTX with reverse. So I guess for a guy like me who wants the RTX but likes the blue color, get a ER and put Fox Float shocks on it and a lower windshield and there it is.

Changing that little hood may be cheaper LOL than the floaters, although I havent studied the seat and front suspension colors.

last year the wieght difference was 29lbs going to the 136" track

i actually like that black apex gt....looks very "intimidating?" i bet that thing just hauls @$$...and that 2.2lb ligher crank is suppose to make it take off a lot quicker....cuz i think that is regular weight..but if u count it as rolling weight, i wouldnt know what it would be-tork would know

Crank weight reduction would be a drop in recipricating weight. Should rev much quicker
