Going to have some powder coating done. my question is like around the area a bearing & seal go, like on a chaincase, can there by Powder coating there? will the seal fit/work? Can you get any on the inside of the chaincase?
I have seen oil tanks done, how do you clean the inside of the tank after it has been, cleaned & coated? ( do they sand blast these parts or clean with chemicals before coating)-

Not an expert by any means, but here are my thoughts.
Powder coating should not go in threads or on metal to metal contact or bearing/seal surfaces. Any decent powercoater should be masking off these surfaces prior to the painting process. If it gets in threaded areas, might have to run the appropriate tap through the threads to clean them out.
As far as cleaning, I assume they use a chemical cleaning/degreasing process, possibly some use ultrasonic cleaning methods, maybe sand-blasting as needed or for removal of old paint.
I would suggest going over where you do/do not want powdercoating with whoever is performing your service.
