I am extending my 121" to a 144" this year. Im wondering what my sled has for stock gearing in it right now and if there would be any benefit to changing the gearing to accomodate the 144" track? Any help or pointers would be great. If you have tips or suggestions about installing the 144 that would be great too. Im curious to hear what everyone who has done this swap has to say ( Pros-Cons)

I would extend it to 136 and set back the skid (ends up being 144) for better approach angle

I already have 2 144" tracks I bought and the extension. I thought about doing that at first but heard it is a nightmare trying to get everything measured right and getting the skid in the right place. Im still looking for rail extensions if anyone has some for sale. 121-144

Stock gearing on an 06 Apex RTX is 22 / 38. You should be fine with the gearing but may have to tune the clutching; i.e spring and weight..
