RA updates now or in the Fall??

My RA cable is pulled out, cable boot worn, and skid welds rusted. Should I take it in now to have things patched up or wait until the fall? It will be in warranty until October, my hope is that there will be additional updates for these issues as well as bushings/zerks, etc.???

My skid and shock look to be in good shape (1800 miles) but I'm pulling it out next fall to do any updates

Wait until fall. Right now the focus is on getting the skid right for 06. Plus they got to build a lot of parts right now for production. Let them get a proper kit together to retofit the 05

Will there be a fix for this "RA" skid...I think that there just going to replace with original design a 1 time warranty replacement and good luck.

By what my dealer is telling me yes they will replace all that needs to be replaced under warranty a 1 time deal.I don't know if anybody else got any feed back from other dealers?

If YAMAHA had any good sense they'd send letters to all '05 RX1-ER 121" RA owners and let us know what is going or being done not leaving us in the dark to solve our PROBLEMS they know by now that they have a BIG design problem.This way we could start talking in a positive way!

Not leave us in the dark and get "YOUR THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS THIS PROBLEM" I'll see what we can do "phrase"

Like I keep saying I'ts a great SLED it just needs to be retuned

I talked to the Yama rep at the 06 show in TC - He knew about the problems with the 05 mono susp, but denied any knowledge of a warranty "fix". In discussing the problems with my dealer in TC, we decided to wait until fall - mainly because we'll be able to see how Yama changed the skid, and part #'s will be available. I never thought about giving Yama additional time to make it right (like they did with the 02 Viper shocks).

when did you take delivery of your sled? If was in june as I did the one year warrenty will be up by fall.

Took delivery in late Sept, but also purchased extended warantee.
