had a chance to radar my attak this weekend.
stock,excel exhaust,ulmer stage 2,predator 1 1/4 ,doo internal drivers.

hard pack/no pics

143 kmph /600 ft 1000cc class stock . second place 1000 cc stock

fastest mach z w/picks 146 kmph/ 600 ft

most apex were around the 131-138 kphm
most machs were around 138-142 kphm

i was pretty happy for a stock sled. i think more than one was suprised.
i let my son drive and was on the sides listening.
at first comments, heavy pig, just noise /no go. this should be a laugh.
machs will smoke it. after 5-6 runs it seemed the tone changed,
well its a long track, its got an exhaust..
pretty funny.

funny no new cats at all there?

Good job Dan. We were there Friday/Saturday. Had a good time. The ads for the radar run said 300 feet, so we thought it would be a waste of time to stick around. We had an Attak and a Mach with us, so it would have been nice to run. On Friday night all I could get out of the 07 Attak on the lake was 185 km/h for a top end.

Funny mine is bone stock with 600 miles on it and ran a 142 km/hr.I even had a chance to race you out on the lake.First race we almost ran into each other,do you remember that? 2nd time we all lined up i got you pretty good and never looked back.Your sled sure is loud.Best i seen was friday night 120 mph on the dream meter and 118 on Sunday.

ya the rtx. it was fast on the top end for sure.
my son ran the 143 first thing in the morning. then we ran in the 139-139 range 5 more times. i found out i got stuck in the mod calss later because of the exhaust. my son was put in the mod class in the 600 after as well. his pro x was long tracked. you seemed to be pulling everyone except cals older 800x doo. from what i gather my predator track is supposed to slow me down on top end. dont really care about that. its good in deep stuff. it was a lot of fun. thats probaly the first time ive raced anyone with the sled. is it your first yamaha? i came from doo.

Ya,we were talking with the guy with the older 800 triple,it's really a 900 triple with some big pipes on it.He was always the come from behind and pass us all at the end,it fly's.Funny the guys i was racing with all weekend have doo 800's and a piped zr 900 and every time we raced once in a while i would get a really hard pack section and it was dead even until 60-70 mph then i would start to creep away. Then the next race everyone would smoke me out of the hole and I would catch them all at 90-100 mph.It was all fun, like the saying go's,there's always somebody faster. ;)!

racing

i love my sled. the only thing is it is allways digging a trench. its really good in the stutter bumps. i watched pretty close. you were ahead more times than not. that older blue polaris was only fast on the top end and only after most guys seemed to back off.

Ya,he was pissed at me for slowing down when everyone was done but him. Then he gave me the wave in discust. He even came over to our group a started yapping to me.I guess he wanted to know why we would let off after a half mile.lol... I asked him where he was for the first half mile. What ever,i just said thanks for the race man and then he called me and my sled a pussy...lol....ok then... :dunno:

racing

he came to two of my freinds and wanted to race from a roll on. they just looked at him and said whatever. i think his name is tony shirely.
cal with 800 twin spanked with a shoot of nitrous and the same happened. came over after and started beaking off. they just went back to their freinds and ignored him. any how it was a good time . ill come again next year. ya ever go to the pete on thursday nights?

Excuse me, but I didn't think an aftermarket exhaust and an Ulmer kit still constitutes a stock sled????
