Our 31 mile lake is now flat and rock hard due to the warmup and refreeze last week. A couple of inches of new snow on top. The new snow is packed down and it is cold and fast. No wind either today. All speeds were taken with a Garmin hand held GPS and the sleds were run for 8tenths of a mile on my odometer. All the sleds were studded, most had 3per bar. The only one that wasn't stock was mine and the Turbo AC (clutch kit). The speeds are about what I expected. 11sleds total
1-2009 Turbo AC with cobra track-114.2. This one has never been that fast.
2-2010 Nytro XTX-105.6
3-2010 1200 Doo - 105.9 The Nytro and this sled were almost identical
4-2011 Doo 800ETEC-113.7
5-2006 Vector GT-103
6-1998 Doo MXZ440 Fan-68.7. My eight year old's sled.
7-2006 Apex GT-115.8. My sled.
9-2010 Doo 800R-109.3
10 -2011 Apex SE with 2200 miles drum roll please...........117.5
11- 2010 D&D Hyjacked Turbo AC with 1" track set to full kill 230hp I believe-123.1
Hope this answers some questions!!!!!!

Kind of sounds like the 1200'a are just like they are around here. In stead of just one small part of the country and one sled that beats the 11 apex.

Every individual sled is different. Some tuners are good and some are not so good. I have learned a lot over the years and most of it was from a Skidoo guy
named Benoit. Needless to say his 600 could crush my 800Mach Z every time until I got some tips and good clutching advice from him. That being said I am sure Mike Knapp's 1200 will run with or outrun a 11Apex but don't expect a stock one to run with a 11Apex or a pre 11APEX. They are close like the Nytro up to 70 or 80 but after that it is lights out...

If you could get 160 hp out of the 1200 doo with it's weight advantage in theory it should be able to beat the heavier apex. So who knows. More or less hp doesn't always determine the winner. The tuner is the key. A bad tuner can take a fast sled and make it slow.
