I was looking at the front of my Mountain lite and noticed the radiator it just begging to have a stick stuck through it if you happen to crash though some brush. I am thinking of building guard for it but haven't started yet. Anyone else have the same idea?

I have that same concern. I was thinking that the radiator is about the same size as the one on dirt bikes. So why couldnt you use something like the Devol radiator guards.

That was the first thing that concerned me i actually noticed it in June when i first got hooked on this sled. ill probly end up doin a little bit of low temp aluminum welding and make a guard up

I'm kind of wondering if the radiator is even necasary on the mountain light? There could be alot of weight lost off this sled if you removed it all together.

I mean I can see why you trail riders would need it, but most of my riding is done out in the soft powder, not a whole lot of time spent on the trails. I wonder if the coolers would be effective enought to cool the motor?

Anyone think that you'd get enough cooling without the radiator?

I am in the process of tiging up one from aluminum. I thought the same thing on my FX. I will be mounting it to the side panel.
