I had one of the bolts that attaches the anti stab plastic caps to the fwd end of the suspension rail come loose. I removed the bolt and the cap to find an elongated bolt hole.

Has anyone had success repairing similar damage? I am thinking of haveing the hole welded and redrilling for the bolt. Then I will re install the plastic cap with some kind of an epoxy.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Take the plastic cap off and JB weld the hole solid and drill it out . Easy and it has lasted longer than the stock set up did.

I was wondering about jb weld. Are you saying that you did this with yours and it held up? If so I will probably do the same.

I posted on this subject years ago. Use a glue called Goop (any hardware). Bolt on with a bolt, and nylock nut.
