Any ideas? If I turn the key off and on will that prime it enough to get it going again? I tried that a few times and it would pop but still won't fire. Need help please :o|

As you found out, it is not good to run fuelies out of fuel.

You might want to try spraying a little gas in the throttle bodies and then try to start it. (old lawnmower out of gas trick. :-) ) Usually they will fire up enough to work the air out of the fuel system. If that does not work after trying it a couple times, ...

Do you hear the fuel pump energizing when you turn on the key?

Have you tried starting it with the throttle pressed about 1/8"?

Have you looked at a Spark Plug to see if it is really dry (versus wet.) If it is dry, you are still short on fuel. If it is wet, you may have a different problem, which could be solved by drying/cleaning the plugs, etc.

when i bought mine and went to get it the guy had ran it out of fuel and then wouldnt start. we ended up boosting it w/ a truck(turned off of course) and it fired right up. i think once you wear the battery down some it doesnt carry enough voltage to start it. any ways thats how i got that one started even after trying a little gas in the throttle body.

Yes...the fuel pump is running when I turn the key on.

No...I haven't tried starting it with 1/8" throttle.

No...I haven't checked the spark plugs yet...I was hoping for an easier option before getting to that point.

Thanks for the ideas. I have a buddy coming over tonight who is a mechanic, we'll try a few things.

I would try the battery boost idea first.

Boost it, should go. No more then 10 seconds then leave 30 seconds before trying again.
