I am heading up to Rangeley Maine late next week for my first trip of the year. I have rode through Rangeley many times, but this will be my first time staying there. I have a couple questions for anyone familiar with the area.

I am looking for suggestions on where to ride. I will e riding with a first time rider, so I'm looking to do an easy, short and scenic loop or something. I don't have any maps of the area and would appreciate any suggestions.

I'm only going to ride the first day, then it's basically going to be rest and relaxation. Maybe a little boozing too. I'm looking for suggestions on where to eat, as well as if there is anything to see or do in the general area.

Thanks for any information!

Keith,

While most of that site is an abomination as far as what people post, there are quite a few regional reports on hardcoresledder.com in the correct forum. Sledmaine (sledme? check both) also has a ton of reports!

I used to live in Maine, and have put on some miles in Rangelely. Trails aren't as fun as Jackman/Greenville or the County, but the scenery is amazing and there is more than enough to keep you busy for a day!

Enjoy.

Works for me. I've ridden most f the areas mentioned. I picked Rangeley so me and the girl might have some night life too. I'm trying to get her
into the sport and don't want to scare her off. I just want to take her on a 75 mile-ish lope on flat trails with nice scenery.

Me and some of the boys will go up again in a week or two and rip it up a bit'

Stay safe my friend~ :-o
