ratching with whal bro driver

i switched tracks this year to a attack 20 and whal bro drivers and i cant get it to stop ratching and i even ran the track tight to see if it would stop and it hasnt..any ideas guys

Is your chain tight? Are they timed right? Are they spinning on the shaft? Just a few things to look for.

I used to ratchet all the time with factory and Wahl drivers. Switched to Avid drivers and haven't had a problem but they're pricey.

i just had them pressed on the shaft it doesnt appear that there slipping on the shaft, what to you mean by timed tho? thanks

There are arrows on the drivers, they need to be on the same "hex" of the drive axle.

Ya thanks for the help tonight, found out I had to much hook up and slipped the drivers on the track, I dont think I've ever heard of that before

I am getting ready to order a new set of drivers for my Apex. Anybody know what size the drive shaft is. I tried measuring with a set of digital calipers I bought at Harbor Freight and I'm not sure if it is operator error or just cheap Chinese sh!t but I ended up with seven different readings from 1.06-1.145 "......

27mm, throw a wrench on it to confirm. Get the avid drivers, my powerclaw stretched so I had 6in of sag with no ratcheting.

X2 on the avid drivers

I put a brand new powerclaw on before my trip west. Only issue was the track streched so much it slid halfway off the rear skid and ejected me. The Avid drivers did not ratchet even with 7" or so of sag in the track.
