Rear Axl - 2 wheel kit

I want to run a 2 wheel kit on my Apex and am wondering what is the largest wheel I can run without having to mess with anything else like drivers, etc. I think its 8 inch, but want to make sure before I spend the $.

Thanks - also its the stock rear suspension.

8" will fit nice, i have MMP 2wheel setup with 8" wheels. think 9" will make your track to short, but it might work..

another option

If dollars are a concern, use the 2 wheel conversion axle and just move your current wheels to the inside, the 2 wheel axle for stock relocation is 80.00 through Nextech. They also sell a lot of other cool add ons for our sleds. See link provided below....cheers

We have re-location axles now for Yamaha's that will allow you to run 8 inch wheels on the inside.

For anyone that has done this, do you have to remove the skid or is there enough track slack to replace the rear axle without removing the skid?

Im running 9" rear inner wheels with no prob. Just need two wheels and a axle kit.

Another option

I found a cheaper 2 wheel conversion axle for stock wheels at 65.00 from Ice Age MFG. Can't beat that, they have axles for 8" wheels to.
