Rear axle bole removal 05 vector

I'm having problems trying to remove my rear axle. Tensioners are full loose but nut and bolt tighten in both directions. Wth am I doing wrong? It' b awhile and I thought I remember a trick with an air gun but I'm afraid I'm gonna snap the bolt off.

You just have to turn the nut off of the axle. It should be a lock nut. The axle has a hex head on one side and threads on the other.

It's was screwed up half the threads were buggered luckily I have a spare axle setup.
