I just installed Yellow rear axle wheels...Looking at the old ones can't figure out how one would change the bearings...Are they replaceable or does Yamaha expect you to buy the whole wheel when they go????

They are replaceable. Most yamaha wheels have 2 plastic insterts that cover up the bearings. Remove these insterts to expose them and youll see a snap ring on the inside of the wheel. Take snap ring out and press out the bearing...BBY
I am aware of the plastic inserts and the snap ring..All of the other wheels have those including the inside rear axle wheels and the bogie wheels i the middle of the track..The outside rear axle wheels appear different...
Anyone ???? I looked at the Yamaha site parts and I don't think it shows a bearing for that outside rear axle wheel..The reason I want to know is I am going to take the yellow ones back and go aftermarket if the bearings can't be changed.

You have to get new wheels. I just changed my outer 2 rear wheels.
Aftermarket has the exact wheels....and the bearings are replacable.
I put my old wheels in the press....just for kicks, since they were not of any use anymore....just destroys them.

Thanks RX1 Meirda...I thought so...Looks like I am stuck with the two rear one's that I just put on...I have ordered the identical 4 smaller bogie wheels (yellow) and I assume that the are the same that you cannot change bearings..I will be cancelling them if that's the case...The aftermarket ones look the same as the Yamaha ones I put on the rear ???? And where can I order the aftermarket ones you describe ???? Unbelievable that Yamaha would make you change the entire wheel ($47 Canadian) because of a $4 bearing...

The only wheels that the bearings are not removeable are the 2 large outside rear wheels.
The rest you can remove the bearings and put new ones.
I purchased my rear wheels at www.royaldistributing.com
