I had recently discovered I was missing a tension nut on one side and have ridden like this without kowing for some time. Today as I fixed this I noticed my outside wheels were wobbling. Fearing bushings I pulled them out and checked the bearings, they were fine.

Here is my axle question.
When tightening the axle the hex nut is butting up against the axle itself. I have torqued it but after I can spin the axle with a wrench so it appears it is not tighting on the rails. Is this correct. Also the wobble in the bushings seems to be an incorrect spacing with the spacer not hitting the bearing. Any insight would be appreciated.

thats what the point of the axel spacers and washers are for so u can tightn without affecting spin of wheels. the more you tighten though the harder it is to adjust track tightness. put som blue lock tight on it and snug it up

Do you have all the washers.
From looking at the fiche I say yes. I am suprised it didn't tighten securley on the rails. I haven't take the whole assemly out yet, but plan to do so in the spring as I am going to send the mono shock to half baked for their rebuild. Just wasn't sure if this is how it is supposed to be.

It' is tight but still have a slight wobble in the wheels. Just seems weird to me, but then again I am just getting into my own servicing and am learning as I go.

im no pro but u may need wheel replacement as what i had to do last week. we all learn as we o:) its a hobby and i love it thanks to people on here who help u out as we get stuck. if u pull out the whole rear axel which isnt to bad be carfull to remember the order in which the spacer and washers go.

as we speak i got the laptop in the garage changing my gears and track for the first time.

I kinda wondering how is the process of taking the chaincase apart? Just picked up a 2006 attack that will be apart this summer.
