I bought the rear heat exchanger kit from my local dealer with the impression from the dealer that everything I needed would be included but supprise only the exchanger and revits. Does anyone know of any instrutions on how to mount and hook this thing up, if any one has any pictures those would be helpful also.

Thanks

Do a search on rear heat exchanger and you will find pics and instructions.

But really this is easy enough.

disconnect the crossover pipe, rat out the holes a bit make a paper overlay on the exchanger and use a pencil to make a templet by running the pencil back and forth over the paper while the paper lays on the exchanger. This give the pattern, and then tap the pattern on the top of the tunnel where the exchanger is going to go. Drill the holes exactly as the templet has them, mount the exchanger using the rivets, and hook the supplies back up...cutting the inlet and exit pipe rubber to fit.

TAkes about 1/2 hour. Trick is not to lose the coolant by blocking it up or pinching it with channel locks. If you do lose some, be sure to burp the sled to rid it of all air.

Ok I looked around but didn't find the installation with pictures but did find a few pictures and I am starting to think they ordered the wrong kit, I just don't see how this is going to mount, can someone verify the part # that the ordered for me? The part number that was ordered was 8ET-RHECR-KT-00.

Thanks

Also be aware that if you have studded the track, you will need to fabricate your own protectors for the heat exchanger. Yamaha does NOT sell these as the larger exchanger is actually intended for the RX Mountain, not the warrior.
