i checked for resistance though to shock solenoid and it came up 4.6 for a factory spec. of 4.1to5.1 so that looks right ,i checked the harness as far as i could with the gas tank off can not find any issues there, the speedo screen still will not bring up the shock symbol. when i replaced the shock harness from the shock to the first connection beside the fuse box which all the fuses are good by the way the old harness looked like it had been cut it was a clean cut down in the tunnel a couple of inches from the shock ,so if this was cut it would have made a connection between the two wires briefly could this have done something to the module/ computer/speedo screen . sorry for the long post but i`am running out of ideas here any help would be appreciated thanks

Are you absolutely positive fuses are all good? Could something have blown a fuse since you last checked?

That dang wire is such a pita.....

yes there is 12volts going down to the shock on one side of the harness ,it looks like the computer or module may be varying the ground to control the amount of voltage to take the dampening up or down as per the toggle /rocker switch.but the shoch symbol will not come up on screen no matter what i try???any ideas

i will let him try the one off my sled even though my shock is not an electronic ohlin my speedo screen is the same as his the shock symbol shows up just at initial start then goes out.i`am running out of ideas help???

If shock symbol shows up on power up, disconnect shock cable and see if it still shows. If it doesn't then it could be as simple as mode switch on panel not working

does these machines have be running for the e-shock to work or will it work as long as the key is on ??

making progress on ohlins

we tryed his shock on my machine and it worked perfectly next step is to put my computer on his machine and try that as his shock and coil have been proven good it almost seems like a computer problem to me.
