Upper right A Arm bolt backing out. Not sure which models or years but my 09 Nytro RTX was one recalled. It just so happens that my bolt backed out two weeks ago and I just seen in Zip Ties and Screw drivers topic post that it happened to him as well. I got the recall in the mail last week. Apparently there was a burr on the welded on nut to the bolt that allows the bolt to back out. My sled just started turning funny when I steered left. It would seem to bite harder. Thread lock it or take it to your dealer to do it.

A Arm

I checked with dealer and my 09 XTX was not a recall re last build of 09 models were redone at factory.
You just have your dealer check your serial # and they will let you know.
I am having it checked regardless!

ha thats hilarious now!!!!, I'm speaking proof that the bolt is weak...lol
Yeah man, I saw your post and thought, o #*$&@, I wonder who knows about this. Sorry Unpride about your miss hap. That really sucks. Over 5k miles. Dam dude. In your neck of the woods or are you trailering other places. The snow down here in Chautauqua County is real thin right now. Hey you both ride the 08's so maybe this problem stems back from the begining FX Nytros till the late 09 models where Alsops said his wasn't recalled. Check it anyways, Everybody! A good way to get hurt if it happens to you.

When I first heard of the recall I checked the bolts on both my 09 XTXs and the RH upper on one of them was loose. I checked with the dealer and my sleds were NOT part of the recall. Even if your sled is not recalled you may want to check it anyway.

The upper RH A-arm that holds the A-arm to the subframe is the one that was loose.

I only ride on The Hill, Old Forge area never at home. I think the sled has about 5400 on it now but not without its fair share of problems. I will never buy a first year build again..... :o| Atleast the sled never left me stranded and always made it home under its own power

I just dont understand why they did not have a cotter pin through every bolt in the front suspension area. That top a-arm to spindle just falling out is gonna kill someone in time.
