Quick question. Does anyone know what recalls if any were on the 03' RX-1. Its about that time to start getting things ready and would like to take care of these items. Any help/info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Tork, I already have the straight springs up front and was thinking about the swaybar/links. Most of my riding is om the local lake so i'm not too concerned about the swaybar yet. It will happen sooner or later though. I'm looking for info on factory recalls. (rear susp. bushings, idler wheel / jackshaft/ drive axle bearings etc.) I have the Yamaha extended warranty and would like to know if any of these items are/would be covered. I would also like to know if there are any underhood/chassis items that were recalled and I wasn't notified about. Thanks for the help. This site rocks!

Actual recalls I believe could be the tunnel rivet rubbing on the seat material causing premature wear to seat and also the bolts rubbing on the hood just above fuel tank. Kind of minor, but may be good to mention to dealer so you can get a seat cover if you have a little wear. The bolts rubbing on hood was an easy fix without the dealer for me. I think the rest are just recommended updates unless I’m forgetting something.

Ok, I'm back from weekend, read my PM's, and got directed here.

Dano is correct on the recalls. Only the two. Tunnel rivets and hood bumpers.

Another thing that SHOULD be a recall (but isn't, so you'll have to pay for it yourself) is the jackshaft bearing collar. The original collar was just shoved in and for some would work its way out. 04+ had a threaded collar and a great big nut. Part numbers 8FA-17645-10-00 and 8FA-17642-00-00. The bearing is identical.
