Currently running a 2009 Venture RS-GT, 4000 miles I bought new No power steering and it is wearing me out on curved trails through the woods. It is a trail locomotive. I’m not ripping the trails at 80 mph, but the power of my sled is nice. Michigan groomed trails mostly. I’ll 72 now and mostly ride with my boys, typically 100-150 miles per day. Don’t need a 2 up anymore. What sled would you recommend. Been running Yammies since 1977.

If you want a reliable sled buy a true Yamaha built sled. If you think you need a better riding sled buy one of the others but be ready to do more wrenching & expect more break downs.

Vector LTX with power steering. The MOST overlooked sled in Yamahas lineup. Great ride, fuel mileage, performance, this sleeper is a phenomenal trail sled. I've ridden my buddy's 14 a bunch of times and was amazed how capable it is... completely stock!

If your looking for a viper series sled, I would recommend the LTX. There’s aftermarket power steering kits available for them if you find it’s needed. Great sleds, no more work than any other sled. They all break and need maintenance. As long as your not beating the snot out of it, it’ll treat you just fine. If your still looking for an all japan sled, I’m sure the vector LTX with power steering will do the job.

My wife has a 2013 Vector LTX with power steering and loves it (but she refuses to ride when the trails get rough). I rode a 2011 non-power-steering Vector for 5 years, but swapped over to a Viper in 2015. If you like the riding position of your current sled, I agree, you can't beat a power-steering Vector. Nothing compares to the effortless ride it provides on groomed trails; put Snow Trackers on it, and it absolutely rails with positive steering and no darting. That having been said, I prefer the rider-forward position of the Pro-Cross chassis, and I would never go back to the old Yamaha Delta Box sleds. I rode almost 1800 miles last week on my Sidewinder, and even though I am pushing 70, I have no aches or pains from getting beat up on the trail. As much as I loved my old Vector, if I had been riding it last week, I would be overdosing on ibuprofen right now.

That’s one of the best things about the viper/winder sleds, it’s easy to put on 400kms in a day and be ready for more the next day. Seating position is great!

Best and most reliable sled out right now is a Skidoo with the 900 ace engine........ the vector is right there also but it cost way to much cash........I got a new 2017 Skidoo Blizzard with a 900 ace and a new 2019 snopro inclosed trailer for the price of a 2017 yamaha vector.

vector ltx sounds like the perfect sled for you. you could always go xtx as well but make sure they have up graded the single shot stock shock.
if you really want to go brand new, they still make the eps equipped venture.
