Anyone have a tech support phone # for Red Pine Mapping GPS snowmobile maps? Trying to load the maps I purchased on an older Garmin but having issues. Already sent an email through their website. Thanks.

Or maybe I could ask my question here.....
As I said, I am trying to put the Red Pine Mapping onto my Garmin GPS via Map Source program.
Problem is....the Red Pine Mapping files appear to be in .img format. is that what I need? When I try to "Import" into my MapSource program, the program is looking for .wpt, .trk, .rte, or .grm. I am not understanding why it is not seeing the .img files associated to the Red Pine Mapping download.
Any ideas? Kinda need a quick answer. Thanks.

I haven't used this program, but it sounds like you'll need to convert the .img file to something that MapSource can understand. Try this website:

I found it under the google search: "how to load .img to garmin". I had to do something similar when trying to convert garmin files to lowrance and it worked great, but unfortunately I don't remember the website.

As I recall, when I got the file from redpine, I simply double clicked on it and it was somewhat intuitive. I know the Garmin software should not be booted up. The .exe file finds the software and the only thing you may do is put it in a separate directory. I believe there is a how-to somewhere on the site.
It works great.
