Well my one week vacation is over, I rode the mountains of Huston the 1st day Sunday, Rode the trails and Mountains of Kakwa Wednesday, trail rode and some small hill climbing on Friday out the Captain near my house and on Saturday went to Burns lake to do some drag racing. Thats what I call a GOOD week
It was the 1st annual "Cold Smoke Drags" There were 5 Turboed Yamaha's there from Prince George Yamaha including mine. 3 RX-1s and 2 Vectors. Gary from P.G. Yamaha was an unbelievable Host to us. At the start of the day he said whoever wins Open Mod King buys supper tonite. Well thanks for supper Gary. There was over 120 entries, and the last class Open Mod King was run in the dark. Gary took 1st in the Open Mod King, 1st in the 1000 Open Mod, I took 3rd in the 1000 Open Mod, Lori a freind of ours took 2nd in the 800 Open mod on her Vector and Gary's wife took 3 in the 800 Open Mod on her Vector. I called this post Redneck racing and here's why. The track was only 500' (Big advantage for the 2 strokes) the shut down was up hill, through big whoopers heading into the forest  Ontop of this, it was on a Golf Course....... They only had 2 lanes so it was a double knock out set up. The locals favorite was a 1550 Cat on NOS with a 162 Cat track turned around backwards for better bite. By the time our classes came up the #2 lane was ice out to the 1st 80' or so. The #1 lane was still snow. Bet you can't guess what lane us turbo's ran in every heat unless there were 2 turbo's running at the same time? You got it, we always got the #2 lane. Well if that wasn't a big enough advantage for the locals I decided screw that and told the starter I would give the guy in the #1 lane a head start and moved myself way back so I had some snow to start on. The guy running the lights looked at me like I was nuts. We did this in all our classes after that and picked off the big 2 strokes and NOS sleds in all the classes. Sometimes we were as much as 3 sled lengths back from our competion in the #1 lane
In the Open Mod King I was disqualified for a jump start, (Everyone said no way but the guy on the lights said it was, oh well thats racing) The best part of that run and probably why the starter freaked and called it a jump start was, when I hit the volume control my sled went VERTICAL, I stayed on the hammer, when it came down at about 100' out the guy in the other lane was way ahead but I caught him and smoked him anyway. (Not good traction when your riding the rear idler wheels, but it looks DAMN COOL 8) Here's a picture of our group of sleds and a picture of the Fastest driver of a RX-1 Turbo that took all the gold, Gary from Prince George Yamaha. Thanks Gary for an awesome day!

Little higher boost, I took mine there just the way I ride it daily, never removed my shovel off the back, the tool kit from the front or even my handle bar bag. I was damn near stock

Snowfever what turbo does Gary have on his RX and what boost was he running? That is funny you guys were setting back, hahahaha, way to rub it in.
Youre suppose to just barely beat them, then they all dont go out and buy RXT's and then next thing you know we arent fast anymore.

would have liked to see the look on the guys faces when the PG crew rolled up...........they musta been like
better pack up and go home....hehe
anyhow good work
......Also i would like to specially congradulate Suzy and Lori, just wonder if the guy who beatem would be able to keep up on the trail.....I think not, two of the fastest, best riders around.......good work

Raised on Blue, yea them girls are fast, Suzanne has always been good at racing and now I think Lori is hooked too. Gary is running the MC-Xpress rear mount (He is the North American Distributer) It looked to me when I rode it to be around 18lbs boost. The test track was rough, couldn't do much but hold on, let alone read any gauges.
