Can anyone tell me what they did for ny reg stickers. Will I get a ticket if I put it on the tunnel?

I used a hair dryer and put mine on the lower cowel next to my PA numbers. If you use a hair dryer and keep rubbing until you feel all of the ribs, it really sticks well. I don't expect to have any problems with them coming off.

you would be OK on the tunnel 95% of the time, but it is not really legal there. May just bring more attention to you & your group at a check point & if they want to be picky...
I put mine on the side panels. I cleaned surface a couple times, heated surface with hair dryer, applied sticker, rubbed on , applied more hot air, rubbed on sticke again, then let set for a few hours before taking sled out into the cold.
so far they have stuck on very good. take a look below(i did photoshop your ID on though) ;)!

like i said, it only takes 1 time for the law to have a bug up their butt. I had reg on the tunnel on 2 diff. sleds and only had been "told" once by trooper that it could be a problem if he wanted.
A friend of mine was stopped at a checkpoint once, gave them a hassle, and a few of them were handed out tickets. 1 for loud exhaust. and all because a heated disscussion over placemnet of the reg sticker.
i will put it on the front side from now on.

I thought mine stuck pretty good to the lower plastic until I got back from a spin only to find one side gone #$%&*
The tunnel would be the best spot but placing it there here in Michigan is a no no.

registration decal mounting

Our reg. decals for Wisconin are shorter than most, and with all of the contours on the Apex, I opted to order some black plastic plates from Sledsolutions.com and mounted them on the bottom cowling(which is secured by screws, not the side panels) as this is about the only place there is a flat surface to put them on.

Hopefully our DNR people won't harass me as they always want them on the hood.

I used the hair dryer trick, placed them were WI says on the plastic and thought it would be good but lost one already-450miles. Now I need to find out what to do to get a new one, or just play dumb the first time Johnny law inquires?
