Registration stickers

Do you know if it is legal to replace the NL DMV plate with the stickers?

You are supposed to have that ugly red and white plate visible (left side)on your sled here on the Rock. This is straight from Motor Vehicle.
After a couple seasons, most of these plates aren't even readable so I went this route. I have it poked away in my windshild bag in the event I get stopped along with my trail pass.

My NY reg plate doesn't look like that. I wonder why yours is brown. Mine is reflective silver. Next year in ny you will get a ticket for them being on the tunnel. Mine is on the tunnel and I was stopped like 8 times this year. They said no warnings next year, just tickets.

I had the stickers made for me, they are not brown they are black with silver letters exact oppisite of the New York State stickers, the flash just made them look like that. My buddy got a ticket this past season for them being on the tunnel. this might be a better pic.

Oh, ok. They also told me they had to be the plate from the dmv. Not just the numbers. Maybe you are ok but they could give you a ticket if they wanted. They really cracked down this year and it will be worse next.
