Just got my tail light relocate done. It is a Grote GRO-53582 and it sells for about $28.00. I cut the factory harness under the seat and connected heavy insulated four wire. It is the stuff we wire semi trailers with. It really cleaned up the tunnel

I did the same light on my RTX. I kept the factory light intact to save it and ordered the rear light wire harness for a MTX to run to the new brake light.

I did the same thing to mine. That factory brake light is dumb.

It looks sweet! I put one on order through Amazon. About $27 for the light and $25 for the stock MTX tail light cable through SHS Power Sports. I'm excited to start shopping for some Tunnel Packs and get me some storage!

I bought a small one, took off the reflector and mounted at that point. mine cost 12 bucks delivered.
What a difference, and now I can run my gas rack.

You just installed it directly right? You didn't need an inline resister or anything?Schlick55 said:Brake light

On high quality LED's like TruckLite and Grote the resisters are built into the harness just like the factory light. The boards are also resen covered for vibration. I'm sure all of you have seen a cheap LED bar under the tailgate of a pickup with half of the lights out. That is a non-resen dipped board from China and the diodes simply vibrate off.

Here is a picture of mine. I gotta clean up the wiring, but I didn't want to drill holes in my sled so I mounted it to the reflector plate.
