Has anyone relocated their tail light with the hitch bumper installed? I am installing a Kolpin fuel pack jr, and need to relocate my light, I just don't know how to go about it. New light, or modify the factory one?

I moved mine. I got rid of the plastic housing, and moved the tail light back to the very edge of the tunnel. I should get a longer wiring loom so I can route it a bit better, but it does work the way it is.

I can't find any that really shows the light, but here's something that might give you an idea.

Is that a homemade bumper/hitch ??

NFLD-Nytro do you have any problems with that fuel tank getting to hot with the turnout? I have a ski-doo can on mine and everbody is telling me it is going to melt. Here is a pic. I didn't have the turn out installe in this pic.

I'm not seeing your pic.

With the 5 litre can there's be zero issues with the exhaust hitting is. It's usually covered in snow, and never even gets warm.

When I had the 10lt can strapped on there I could see how it would be a concern. I did get some bubbling of the plastic from the exhaust heat, so I know it's important to maintain enough distance between the exhaust and the can, especially if you're not playing in alot of powder.

The ideal solution really is to get an under-tunnel exhaust.

+-+--+

That's gonna melt without a turn out. With my turnout, the snow does not even melt off the can. My plastic lunch bag doesn't melt either and its wedged under the turnout.

Ya I know I need the turnout I have it on now, but only plan on using the can in the back country anyway, trail tank next year along with undertunnel exh. ;)!

I agree, and I think it's a bit close, even with a turn-out.

xf800, you might need to think about relocating the tail light so you can move that can further back.
