it's ok, i just thought it was funny. like I said I install them in automobiles for a living, i am a mechanic, but I would love the plug and play unit too, and sealed up better, ready for sleds, I know one of my buds will want one too, I just hope it wont' be much over $200.00

I have installed many Astro Start units in cars & trucks over the years so I am not afraid of cutting & splicing either. However just like you, I would rather have a "plug & play" unit that is designed for a sled application.
The two way remote with the LCD image of the Apex is just way too cool for me to not have one! I am not too concerned about the price considering what these guys have put into this and if it works as good as I believe that it will. $200 seems like a bargain to me.

Autostart brand has the lcd option remote which show you when your machine is running or not also, a nice option, it would be great to warm up the sled, while you get geared up, then when you go out she is ready to go, better on the motor and no wasted time out in the cold sitting there wishing you were moving..... and it's also cool, no pun intended....
