My buddy bought a SRX700 w/ 192 studs in the track. He did not like that many studs when he rode it. He wants to remove some studs. I was thinking of instead of removing the studs, I thought of cutting the studs off up to the nut. Is there another option and how many is safe to remove.

:rocks: :yam:

Remove them so you have a pattern. A friend of mine bought a used RX from a dealer. Dealer told him he ran out of studs 3/4 the way through the track. When he rode it the track gyrated. The dealer gave my friend the rest of the studs to finish it. You could remove all studs and ride on swiss cheese. If they didn't use the tougher locktite you could turn them out.

You shouldn't have any problems removing the studs you don't want to use. I have done it before and have had no problems at all. ;)!
