When removing upper sprocket nut which direction is loosening? Clockwise or counter. I'm having a tough time getting this nut loose. Every time I attempt I lift the sled on the seondary side and the nut wont break free! Any help is appreciated! This is my first attempt at track removal!

It's regular threads ( counter clockwise to loosen ).........I've done two ........one I loosened with my fingers , the other took two men to get off , one to hold a crescent on the shaft and the other to turn the nut , must've been about 500 ft pds.

You can put the key in the keyway for the rotor ,and put a large crecsent over the shaft (the key in the keyway will keep it from turning ).

I've used a box end wrench and hit it with a hammer to remove those nuts. Just hold tension on the wrench in the direction you want to move it and hit toward the end of the wrench. It works just like an impact wrench and the shock will break it loose. You can tighten it in the same manner, Ken.

Thanks guys I just got it out! My dealer loaned me the custom socket that is made specificly for removing that nut!!! Finaly got it all apart! Thanks for the help!!
