Hey fellas. Couple things I’d like to try and clear up on my 16 xtx141.
Looking for help. Seems when I decide to punch the throttle it starts to wind out nice. Engine cuts out briefly, clears its self up then off again until I hit rev limit at around 98 mph. Everything is stock except hindle slip on.
So.. is this brief sputter normal?
Suggestions on clutches?
If I do make changes to clutching. How drastic changes do I need to make before I need to remap?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks. Kel.

Im using a gates belt this year, its softer and has more bite on the clutches from what i understand. I was banging off my rev limiter like you, switched my belt and it cut it down 75%. The factory belt has put a slight groove in my sheave also its so tough.

I would replace belt first and see if that cures it, might be slipping. Otherwise you need to add some weight to the tips of clutch weight arms to reduce rpms a little
