Help, doing track swap on 03' RX1 ER (reverse). Got almost everything back together.....but can't get reverse hooked up. Can't get the lever attached to the chain case to engage the large reverse bottom gear. There has to be a trick on getting those pins behind the gear flange. Thanks in advance! Darren

Use the lever on the outside to hold the mechanism up and slide the pins into the grooves on the gear as you put the cover on. It takes a little patience, but they will go.

Man, I think I tried it every way you can imagine.....do you need to hold the bottom gear out...by wedging something behind it. Do you install the cover onto the top shaft first, if not it seems the cover has to be tilted to get it to slide over and than you wouldn't be able to get the top bearing over the shaft? thanks for quick response. Darren

Thanks for info guys.....Figured out why I was struggling, I needed to take the linkage apart further it was hitting on the chain case, once apart it allowed more movement thus letting me get the tabs over the gear flange. Thanks again. Darren
